When the idea was first presented to me of shooting Henriette and Ricky's wedding in Norway - my jaw was to the floor in excitement. Before flying to Norway, I was previously in Greece for work! Instead of flying back to Minnesota, I spent about three weeks exploring Italy, France, and Norway alongside my husband Harrison. It was truly a trip of a lifetime and ending my trip with photographing a wedding in Norway was the perfect cherry on top!
From the carefully curated decorations that echoed the Norwegian aesthetic to the traditional elements woven into the ceremony, my  photography aimed to encapsulate the essence of this Bergen wedding. The bride's choice of her grandmother's veil brought an emotional depth to the visuals, emphasizing the connection between generations and the enduring nature of love. Instead of walking down an aisle to be greeted by all of their guests, Henriette rode in on a fjord horse where Ricky then greeted her, helped her down, and guided her down the aisle. The chills we all felt watching this fairytale unfold were absolutely beautiful. During family and wedding party portraits - were greeted with a small amount of rain. But don't worry - this rain then gifted us with a beautiful rainbow! For dinner we served a stunning three course meal! We ended the night with toasts, dancing, and eating hot dogs! Yes, as a midnight snack - we all enjoyed a classic Norwegian hot dog! The last person on the dance floor was Henriette's grandmother - dancing the night away! 
It was such an honor to capture this beautiful wedding day and to learn so much about the ways of Norway!
