When C+C reached out asking if I'd photograph their wedding - it was an immediate YES. I was able to photograph these two previously when they were dating and I knew I needed them in front of my camera again. Their smiles and laughter are contagious - an energy I wanted to be surrounded by again!
After flying from Honolulu, Hawaii to Salt Lake City, Utah I decided that I needed a little pick me up before the wedding... so naturally I went to SWIG for the very first time to try out a fancy soda and pretzel bites. WOW. My new favorite thing?? I've never loved something more. I knew I made the right decision when I saw some of their family members go to Swig in between the ceremony and the reception.
The Orem Temple was absolutely beautiful. The glass stained windows had a blueish green tint to them that stood out in the winter sun. The temple grounds were so clean and peaceful. Their temple ceremony was later in the afternoon so we decided to take family and wedding party photos beforehand to take full advantage of the light. The groomsmen were dressed in classy black tuxedos and the bridesmaids were in a variety of colorful dresses that matched the bride's bouquet perfectly. The dresses were just the touch of color we needed on a cold winter's day.
After the couple exited the temple and their guests cheered and celebrated with them - we headed to their reception at The Ivory Hall in Provo, Utah. At their reception they had handmade tortillas - yes you heard that right. HANDMADE. They have now been added to my favorite foods list... alongside Swig. ;) After a family friend serenaded the couple with a few songs, the dancing began! The energy was high as everyone sang and danced their hearts out. The couple exited the venue to their getaway car in a tunnel of their loved ones and bubbles! What a perfect day!
